Updates and News from June, 1999

June 28, 1999

If you've seen my guestbook lately, someone wrote in there that they got a tip that Gunnar Hansen and company have made a deal to shoot TCM 5 on Quick Hill using a rebuilt prop of the family house.  I did not post that guest's statement here as news until I received confirmation from my sources about this.  I just got a call back from a source on the matter who confirmed that this rumor is COMPLETELY UNTRUE.  Fact of the matter is, that just TODAY, there was a ground breaking ceremony with politicians and engineers to pave the way for highway 46.  I mentioned highway 46 previously on this site, but it's a highway that will go right through Quick Hill.  Landscaping is due to commence in about 6 weeks.  Which leaves NO time to film any kind of a movie.  Besides, no one within the organization has heard of a movie or deal being made to do so.  Because of the impending construction (destruction if you ask me), my source has guaranteed a visit to take me there before construction begins.  At that time, I'll take more pictures and perhaps any "souvenirs" I can find.
