Brian & Kent sent more pictures for my site.  I have them posted as well.  Check them out HERE.

I have added the name of the 2nd place winner of the TCM trivia.  Check that out HERE.

This was also day #17 of shooting TCM 27 years ago.

July 30, 2000

I have several updates to report about today.

I have added some great fan fotos from Chappy Taylor and Brian and Kent.  Brian and Kent recently returned back from their trip to Texas where they visited all the TCM sites.  They actually flew from New Hampshire!  Also, check out Chappy Taylor's scans that he sent me as well.  See both HERE.

I also opened a new section of my web site called "Hot Topics".  I'm trying to separate the more pressing or "hotter" news from the other bits of everyday info.  Check that page out HERE.

I have posted more notes about the Trivia question and what specific answers we're looking for.  I'm sorry for the controversy over the answer.  But I hope that I have cleared the air and I promise that I will research the answers myself before posting any Trivia questions.  Please take a look at the updated Trivia question HERE.  Again, my apologies.

By the way, this was day #16 of shooting TCM 27 years ago.

Colin submitted a good TCM trivia question.  Check it out HERE.

I have more info about the cast reunion, such as where and when it specifically is as well as their web site and phone number.

Their web site is at http://www.bosse.com/haunted2000.  Soon, the page will be moved to their domain, which is http://www.hauntedhotel.cc.  Their phone number is (713) 914-1313.  They have complete information on that site for dates and where they are located.  Also, Ed and Jim will be appearing at the Fear Factory and the Haunted Zone.  So I have posted those appearances along with Gunnar's on Gunnar's appearance page, which is HERE.

July 19, 2000

IT'S OFFICIAL:

CAST OF THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE WILL REUNITE ON SEPTEMBER 22 & 23 IN HOUSTON, TX. AT THE HAUNTED HOTEL!

You heard it here first!  Not since the 20th anniversary in Cleveland, OH. have they gathered together in 1994 (six years ago)!  Marilyn Burns, Gunnar Hansen, Jim Siedow and Ed Neal will be appearing at the Haunted Hotel on September 22 & 23 (Friday & Saturday) for a cast reunion to meet the fans.  These are the only details I have at the moment.  So make those airline arrangements!  You can bet that I'll be there!  Come out and meet our favorite family and perhaps I'll finally get to meet my friends that I have only met via e-mail!  I'll keep updating my news page as I know more.

In other news (and I'm not trying to overshadow my friend David Miller and his great pictures), but he has submitted more pictures of Quick hill from this past April using his panoramic camera.  They're really cool!  Check them out HERE

July 18, 2000

Gunnar Hansen has sent me an updated list of his appearances.  Looks like no gigs for this years Halloween as of yet.  They usually fill in at the last minute.  For his list of appearances, go HERE.

July 17, 2000

Gunnar Hansen is making progress on setting up his new web site.  NO REALLY!!!  I SWEAR!!!  He has reserved his own domain name, http://www.gunnar-hansen.com.  No, there's nothing up yet.  He has simply reserved the domain name for now.  But he is working on the HTML as you are reading this.  So keep checking back at that URL.

In other news, I have updated the Where Are They Now? section with updated profiles of the cast members.

July 16, 2000

I have posted some pictures that Scott Hunter in Scotland sent to me recently.  You can find his pictures HERE.

Also, I got some REALLY interesting news from Julian Smith about the UK version of the TCM DVD.  He found an "Easter Egg" on the DVD.  An "Easter Egg" is a secret feature not advertised in a program.  I have added this information as a permanent fixture on my FAQ page.

July 15, 2000

Somehow, I won an award from Celebsites!  So I've put up their banner on a couple of my pages on my web site.

September may turn out to be a major event for us TCM fans.  I've talked to Gunnar and Marilyn about the event.  Contracts have not been signed by any parties, but Gunnar believes that there is a 95% chance that this event will pull through.  I unfortunately cannot say what it is because it may not happen.  But once I know, you can bet that I'll be updating this site with the info.  All I can say is, that you may want to look at booking a flight to Texas for sometime in September...

Also, I got some great information from Tommy about a TCM screening coming up in western Michigan.  The following is a copy of Tommy's e-mail he sent to me.  Thanks Tommy!

In Grand Rapids, MI on August 4th there will be an outdoor screening of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre at the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts.  Attendees are asked to bring their own chairs (and leave chainsaws in their cars...LOL). Cost is $3.00 and starts at 9:30 PM! This is the 25th Anniversary of the film... but you already knew that.  This is a double feature with a screening of the film Coven and a special appearance by Director Mark Borchardt. Coven was featured as the backdrop of the hilarious 1999 independent film, American Movie.  For more information and directions, please contact UICA at 616-454-7000.  UICA is 3 hours from Chicago and 2 hours from Detroit located in Western Michigan.

Paul Partain has expressed an interest in participating in the newsgroup, alt.movies.chainsaw-massacre.  We're working some things out at this time to make that happen.  This is a great way for every fan of TCM to contact an original cast member and ask questions.  I urge all fans to subscribe to the newsgroup which is absolutely FREE (incase you didn't know).  If you do not know what a newsgroup is, or you're intimidated, please contact me.  I will do my best to explain in the simplest terms the answers to your questions.

July 10, 2000

IT'S DONE!

My control message for a TCM newsgroup went through!  It's alt.movies.chainsaw-massacre!

If you do not know what a newsgroup is, please visit THIS SITE.  To participate in the newsgroup, you need software that will allow you to read and post messages to a newsgroup, and your ISP has to have a newsgroup server.  Please check with your ISP for details on their news server, and also check to see if you already have the software necessary to read and post messages to a newsgroup.  I personally use MS Outlook - not to be confused with MS Outlook Express.  I don't believe that Express supports newsgroups.  But regular Outlook does.  I'm sure that other e-mail programs support news as well.  If yours does not, you can download a free one at http://www.forteinc.com/getfa/download.htm called Free Agent and choose which site to download it from.  Please participate in the group.  It's the fastest way to contact others and talk about all things chainsaw.  I'll be sending out e-mail invitations to Gunnar and Paul to join the group as well, but no guarantees.

And as always, THANK YOU!!!!

July 6, 2000

I'd like to thank everyone that responded with their birthday wish for Marilyn.  I printed out and mailed all of your wishes to her this morning.  So I will no longer be taking any birthday wishes for her.  The next birthday ahead of us is a double-header!  Both Ed Neal and Allen Danziger have a birthday on July the 12th.  So I'll be taking any b-day wishes you have for them up until the 13th.

In other news, I have updated the TCM trivia.  You can check that out HERE.

July 5, 2000

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARILYN BURNS!  I'm still taking b-day wishes for her until tomorrow morning.  I'll then snail-mail them to her.  So if you have a b-day wish for her, please e-mail me them to me and they will reach her.

Also, a little birdie told me that Jim Siedow was interviewed by Texas Monthly a few months ago.  I inquired to TM about when that article might appear in their publication.  I was given a familiar answer - 'That has yet to be determined'.

July 3, 2000

Our favorite damsil in distress, Marilyn Burns, is having a birthday on July 5th of this month.  If you care to e-mail me a birthday wish or anything else for that matter, I'd be glad to print them out and mail them to her for you.
