Bogues and his friends Shane and Billy recently made a pilgrimage to ALL the TCM film locations and documented it well with 54 pictures!  Check them all out in the Fan Foto section HERE.

The newest issue of Texas Monthly has a small article on Gunnar Hansen, Marilyn Burns, Tobe Hooper and Kim Henkel.  Its story is called, "Where Are They Now".

Also, I have taken some pictures of the sister TCM house as it is today.  Seems like the only work that has been done to it since it moved from it's original location was put back together and a new roof.  You can see my new pictures as well as the pictures of when it was in pieces being readied to move HERE.

And finally, there is a new eBay auction selling 19 of the front porch spindles that were on the Leatherface home.  There are several screen shots from the movie showing these spindles as well.  You can check out this auction HERE.

August 22, 2001

I just got confirmation from Gunnar Hansen recently that the projected TCM family reunion due to happen in Tiffin, Ohio on October 19-21 of this year will MOST LIKELY happen.  This would involve Gunnar, Marilyn and Ed.  It is not known if Jim will be able to attend or not as of yet.  The official appearance announcement can be found on Gunnar Hansen's web site at http://www.gunnar-hansen.com/appear.htm.

Speaking of Jim Siedow, it looks like his official web site has changed it's address.  So I have updated my links.  His page is the same though.

3 wooden spindles from the 1st floor staircase of the Leatherface home are now up for auctioning on eBay.  Click HERE to see the auction.

August 18, 2001

Well, TODAY'S THE DAY!  Today, 28 years ago, the cast and crew of TCM wrapped up their final day of filming after a previous day and night of shooting the 28 hour dinner scene.  Today, 28 years ago, they shot Marilyn's escape from Leatherface and Leatherface's famous "chainsaw dance".  And, of course, it was 27 years ago today that the event of the fictitional TCM occurred.

In other news, I got word from Jeff Solano that he and the other 3 producers, Tim Gates, Mike Bryant and Mike Chamberlain are putting together a movie called "Next Victim" and he has hired Gunnar Hansen to play the part of the evil Dr. Howard.  Gunnar is due to show up on the set on the 24th & 25th of this month.  I'm waiting to see if they have an "official" web site for more info.

Also, keep a lookout later this evening for some authentic wooden stair spindles from the Leatherface house, 3 of them to be exact, to go up for auction on eBay.

I have more information about Robbie Jacks' passing and have scanned in the article about him that appeared in the Saturday, August 11, 2001 issue from the Metro & State section.  Click HERE for the first part and HERE for the 2nd part.

On a side note, this was the 31st day of primary shooting of TCM 28 years ago today.  And on this Saturday, August 18th, will be the fictitional day 27 years ago that the Texas Chainsaw Massacre occurred.

August 12, 2001

I recently received news that Robert (Robby) Jacks, who played Leatherface in TCM 4: The Next Generation, passed away last Wednesday at 8:30 AM of a heart attack.  The following day, on Thursday, August 9th, would have been his 42nd birthday.  For more information on his passing, you can read this article in the Austin Chronicle.  My thoughts go out to his friends and family.

In other news, the upstairs pink spindle has been sold and there are more items for auction on eBay that used to belong to the Leatherface house.  One is the lightening rod and the other is a small oven found in the back yard.

Gunnar Hansen has completed his merchandise page including samples of his 8 x 10's and other memorabilia.  Therefore, I have removed my old page of samples I had for him.
