Well, this web site's days are in serious doubt at this moment. I'm about to surpass the bandwidth limit on Time Warner. When that happens, this web site will be shut down and it's beyond my control. I have had to completely reformat the Fan Foto section in an effort to cut down on the bandwidth usage. So if you have submitted Fan Fotos in the past, please visit that page for an important message.
I'm still looking for sponsors. Fortunately, I was able to find one. It's the Haunted Studio. Please go to the main menu page of my site and click on their link to visit their page. I'd like to keep them as a sponsor of my site for some time.
Check out the FAQ section, where I have added a new FAQ at the bottom of the page that talks about when the full moon shots were filmed for the movie back in 1973. Very interesting.
Much more detail about the soundtrack to the remake has been posted to the Remake section.
Are you going to the TCM screening in Kingsland this Friday? If so, we'll see you there!

WOW! What a week it has been for the site! As you probably know, my web site is taking TONS of hits due to the remake movie being released. So much so, that my now old web server couldn't handle it. So unfortunately, thousands of people could not visit my site. BUT, thanks to the kind people at Time Warner Roadrunner, they're temporarily hosting my site. But this doesn't mean my site is out of the woods yet. I'm currently looking for sponsors to help support my web site. And, of course, donations REALLY help too! If you'd like to have your web site's banner posted on my site as a sponsor, please e-mail me.
BIG NEWS! A TCM 30th anniversary cast reunion will happen on April 2-4 at the Cinema Wasteland in Cleveland, OH. I have posted a link to this even in the Hot Topics section. Make plans now!
KSAT TV Channel 12 in San Antonio did an interview with me in Kingsland, where the Leatherface house/restaurant now resides. It aired in two parts last Tuesday and Wednesday. I wish I could have posted news about this sooner. And I haven't even seen them yet! I'll get a video of both reports in the mail soon. Then I'll make them available to view from my web site. At last check, KSAT TV still has a link to my site posted on several pages of their site.
Noel Gross wrote a FANTASTIC article about the TCM locations and it appeared in the Dallas Morning News. He gave plenty of mentions about me and this web site. It's very detailed, lengthy, and a great read. He interviewed me via e-mail for a few days for this article. What a great guy! Thanks Noel! Go HERE to read it.
Oh yes! I almost forgot to talk about the very thing that has once again raised interest in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre - the remake. A lot of people have been asking me what I thought of it. My short answer - I'm glad that someone made a movie with Leatherface that has some balls to it. I much prefer watching this film over TCM #3 & #4. Of course, nothing will ever beat the original. And I do still like the first sequel very much. Again, I'm glad that the movie came out to make a lot more people aware of the original film. I just wish that so many people weren't gullible to believe that the TCM was a true story. But that in itself is another story...
There will be a screening of TCM in Dallas, TX at the Landmark's Inwood theater featuring Tobe Hooper in attendance on October 31st. For more info on this, go to http://www.usafilmfestival.com. Thanks to Oliver for that heads up!
Jeff Thompson found the actual BBQ/Gas station that was used in the remake. There is detailed information about where it is located in Texas as well as their phone number. Go to the Remake section for this info.
Now, on with the other updates.
In the Fan Foto section, my good friend T.S. Hopkins has submitted more photos of his pilgrimage to the film locations. David Blacklock sent a BUNCH of photos in from his pilgrimage to the film locations. Joseph Knappenberger took some shots of his sculpted Leatherface mask.
And there are MANY new locations that people believe the TCM actually happened. Check that out HERE.

Lots 'o news! I'll see if I can cover it all.
The radio station, 99.5 KISS in San Antonio TX and I are helping to put on the "Ultimate Chainsaw Experience". Their winner gets a limo ride to the screening of the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre in Kingsland, TX. They also get a guided tour by Ed Neal, who played the Hitch Hiker, of the house as well as a gourmet meal. They've put together a promo that is currently running on the air and it mentions my name and this web site. To hear the promo, click HERE. It's a 1.13MB MP3.

ESPN recently contacted me because they were trying to track down Gunnar Hansen. They want him to appear in a show called "Cold Pizza". Gunnar has accepted their offer and will appear on their show. Cold Pizza is a two-hour weekday morning show airing live from NY 7-9 a.m.ET starting on October 1st. The show will be repeated 9-11 a.m. each day with live news updates. To download the press release in Microsoft Word, click HERE.
My good friend, Rick Balin, pointed out this page with a few shots of the screening of the TCM remake that happened last month with Lee Ermey hosting. Go HERE to check that out.
Tons of Fan Foto additions. From Robby Inman, David Miller, Todd Hopkins & Kevin Dobbs.
TALENT SEARCH!
How would you like to have your artistic work on an official TexasChainsawMassacre.Net T-shirt?
I'm looking for someone to draw a sketch of Leatherface's chainsaw. This drawing will be put on the chest of a white T-shirt. Right below the drawing will be this web site's URL. The chainsaw must also have a single drip of blood at the tip of the saw's chain that is about to drip off. Further down, below the web site's URL, will be a pool of blood. I need it in simple black and white in sketching style. The blood drip on the saw and on the floor can also be black and white and I'll go over it and fill it with red. Unless you would like to do that too.
As compensation for your work, your signature will be on the shirt for credit to the artist and I'll ship 2 shirts to you at the size you request.
I'd like to make a few shirts to wear for the up coming screening of TCM at the Four Bears Restaurant, which is the original Leatherface house used in the film. That's on Halloween. You can submit your drawing to me via e-mail, timh@texaschainsawmassacre.net, or send it to me in the mail. If you're interested in sending it to me in the mail, please contact me for the address to ship your work to.
