MTV COMES TO A TCM FILM LOCATION
A representative for MTV and I have been corresponding over the past few days about holding an "extreme stunt" event at one of the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre locations. It will be food related stunts, such as eating the hottest chili on Earth, animal parts, etc. And they would very much like to tie in the theme of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre by holding it at one of their locations. The event will be on January 20th, 2005 at a so-far undecided location. Later that day, they will go to San Antonio for additional filming. Keep tuning in here for more information on this event as it's known.
How would you like to be included in a Texas Chainsaw Massacre Cookbook alongside other original cast members? Submit your Texas Chainsaw Massacre recipes to me, and your favorite recipe for chili, BBQ, or even a vegan dish might get published next to other Texas Chainsaw Massacre cast members in the same book! Please include all information on what the dish is, the exact ingredients required, and specific instructions on how to make and prepare your dish. I'll only accept REAL recipes. This book will be on the humorous angle and you need to tell me why your dish is a great Texas Chainsaw Massacre recipe. And no, human flesh can not be used. You'll have to come up with a substitute for that. But your name will be included with your recipe. This book will be available for purchase in a couple of months.
Duane Graves, of Trisomy Films, has informed me that the film short with Justin Meeks called HEADCHEESE (filmed at many Texas Chainsaw Massacre film locations), will again be released on another DVD by Shock-O-Rama. It's a double feature that will include a vampire movie, directed by Jon Keeyes ("American Nightmare"). This reissue of HEADCHEESE will be in stores early next year and available for rent at all Hollywood Video outlets. Other film shorts by the Trisomy Films team (including Kim Henkel) include "Voltagen" and "Hypostatic Union", paired with yet to be named films by the same distributor. And on a final note about the Trisomy guys, they have recently completed a hilarious film called "Rio Peligroso", that has already garnered a first place prize by Movies Askew. Congratulations Duane and Justin!
Nick Sgarlata informed me of more news on the up coming Texas Chainsaw Massacre Prequel that has been posted at UpcomingHorrorMovies.Com. You can read the news HERE. Nick also says that some action figures from the 2003 remake are in the works. Thanks for the news Nick!
My good friend, Rick Balin, recently attended the Rue Morgue Festival of Fear Convention in Toronto, and came away with some pics of him with cast members Bill Moseley (Choptop from TCM#2) and Andrew Bryniarski (Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2003 remake). He also appears in the Rue Morgue magazine with Kane Hodder, page 37, picture number 12. Check out Rick's pics in the Fan Foto section under his name.
And Ben submitted more pics of his Leatherface masks. Check them out in the Fan Foto section under his entry, Killabeed.
