My good friend, Larry New, informed me about Rue Morgue's next magazine issue featuring interviews with Tobe Hooper and Gunnar Hansen in celebration of TCM's 30th anniversary.

Kevin and Tennille made a pilgrimage to some film locations.  Check out their pics in the Fan Foto section, under the Locations section.

Gunnar and Ed's new movie, Murder-Set-Pieces, got a positive review on the Film Threat web site.  Click HERE to read it.

There's a GREAT article about the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, how it was made and it's history in the most recent issue of Texas Monthly.  I highly recommend picking this issue up.  I rank this issue up there with the double issue of Cinefantastique with TCM and Psycho.  FYI, it was Cinefantastique special double issue, October 1986 Vol. 16 No. 4/Vol 16 No. 5.

Also, Chappy Taylor sent in some pics of a Leatherface mask replica made by Justin Mabry of Nightowl Productions.  Check them out in the Fan Foto section under masks and costumes.

Be sure to check out the official Texas Chainsaw Massacre Fan Club.

I have some important information about Tobe Hooper's lost short film, Eggshells.
I have a very reliable source tell me that UT's Harry Ransom Center has all of the raw footage that Tobe Hooper shot for this art film from the late 1960's.  Unfortunately, the wear of time is taking it's toll on the original film and it is rapidly degrading.  They've been lobbying for Tobe (or a company) to come forward to restore the film and further preserve it.  But no one has stepped up to the plate to do so.  So I'm sending out an S.O.S. to anyone out there who may be able to help restore these original reels of footage.  Because once they're gone, THEY'RE GONE FOREVER!!!  And it is still unknown if Tobe Hooper or Kim Henkel will ever release a copy of this film.  If you're interested in helping, or sending me some contacts of persons who may be willing to help, please drop me an e-mail.

Ed Neal informed me that he has an appearance this weekend at the Wizard World Tour in Dallas, TX.  Not only that, but Jessica Biel (along with her belly button) will be there as well.  Click HERE for more info about their appearances.

I got an e-mail recently from Nick Palumbo of frightflix.com who informed me about the up coming movie called "Murder-Set-Pieces" with Gunnar Hansen and Ed Neal in it.  Here's some stories behind the film that Nick sent me.  It's pretty interesting!

.....we have a new horror film that I believe you
would be interested in covering on your website, due to all the controversy
and actor Gunnar Hansen....the name of the film is "Murder-Set-Pieces".  It
is the first American horror film ever to be rated NC-17.

Shot on 35mm film, for 2 million dollars.  It is the first film ever banned
by 3 (three) Laboratories:  Technicolor, DuArt, and Deluxe have all banned
"Murder-Set-Pieces"!!!. Also, the film has the only 35mm footage of the 9/11
Terrorist Attacks in New York, and this has caused people to expierence
emotional breakdown.

The film stars horror legends Tony Todd("Candyman"), Cerina Vincent ("Cabin
Fever"), Gunnar Hansen ("The Texas Chainsaw Massacre"), Ed Neal ("The Texas
Chainsaw Masscre"), Soap star Sven Garrett ("Days of our Lives").

Technicolor even called the police on us (we were already arrested 8 times
in Vegas during principal photography) and our producers in San Jose, Ca
were raided by state police and the Attorney Generals Office!!.  This is all
due to the graphic nature of our film, which is about a serial killer in Las
Vegas. And this is only the beginning of the controversy surrounding
"Murder-Set-Pieces".  Please view our website at  www.frightflix.com for
more info.

We will be screening a (35mm print) "Murder-Set-Pieces"  at the AFM on
Friday, November 5th at 3:00 p.m......at the Santa Monica Laemmle, Screen
#2.....and......at the AFM on Monday, November 8th at 3:00 p.m, on Screen
#1.....the "M-S-P" theatrcial trailer will be on-line on November
9th........thanks again Tim,

Ron McCaffery submitted a pic of the Leatherface mask used in the 2003 remake among other cool pics.  Look in the masks and costumes section of Fan Fotos under Ron's name.  And Ryan did an AWESOME job creating his own Leatherface mask and costume.  Check out his pictures on the same page as Ron's submissions.

A web site gave a very favorable review on our locations booklet.  You can read the review HERE.
