The END of Quick Hill

I received some very sad news yesterday after a couple of TCM fans made a journey to Quick Hill.  The plot of land where the Leatherface house used to stand has now been bulldozed over.  We new this day would come.  But at least we have hundreds of pictures of the hill.

In other more interesting news, the web master for http://www.geocities.com/horrorx2000/Horror_X.html claims to have reached Ed Guinn, the original 18-wheeler truck driver from Texas Chainsaw Massacre.  They had a lengthy talk on the phone and he said that he's going to update his site with a full interview of Ed on his site.  In the mean time, I have updated my FAQ page with some information about Ed that he passed on to me.  Go to my FAQ page and scroll to the bottom.

There is an auction for an NTSC copy of "Texas Chainsaw Massacre - The Shocking Truth" on eBay.  It's rather different because it is autographed by 5 cast members of TCM including Gunnar Hansen, Marilyn Burns, Jim Siedow, Paul Partain and Allen Danziger.  You can check out the auction HERE.  And remember, the auction for the door from the Leatherface auction is still up for sale, and you can check that out HERE.

There are only a few things I get from TCM fans that make me go "WOW!" and Randy Carpenter has done it again!!!  Not only does he own the original Leatherface "killing" mask, but he also just recently aquired the original "Black Maria" truck door that Leatherface sawed on in the movie!  Check out Randy's pictures in the Fan Foto section, NOW!!!

After MUCH rumor about an up coming remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, my good friend Duane Graves of Trisomy Films informed me of a recent article that just appeared in Variety Magazine, January 30th.  You can refer to my Hot Topics section for the full article.

Also, I had a conversation with Gunnar Hansen this evening.  He mentioned that Universal Pictures is going to put out another "killer" compilation similar to the recent "Boogeymen" DVD released by Flix Mix.  It will feature the scene where Leatherface impales Pam on the meat hook.
